born 1970 in Nuremberg. Studied jazz-piano at the Meistersinger Conservatory Nuremberg, after the degree he studied with Joe Lovano, George Gruntz and at the Manhattan School of Music (New York). Concerts with Bill Molenhof, Rudi Engel, Lutz Häfner and as soloist. Since may 2001 teacher at the musicschool of the city of Nuremberg.

johannes ammon violin

studied in Nuremberg, Munich, Berlin and Boston. After 20 years Bosten (USA) he is now living in Hitzacker. He was working with classical orchestras in Nuremberg, Bamberg, Heidelberg and Vienna. His dedication is improvised music without stylistic borders (f.e. Sabana Blanca - Improvisatory ensemble specialized in the accompaniment of classic and contemporary silent films featuring Takaaki Masuko on percussion, Joel Springer on winds, J. Ammon on violin, and Andrew Blickenderfer on acoustic bass). He joins projects of Alfonso de Vilallonga in Spain, plays salsa with Frank McLean y Grupo Aché as well as classical string music with the Lüneburger Mondrian Ensemble.

New program, new line-up: the latin jazzband Papa Caliente moves on to future from salsa to ska. Meanwhile the band of saxplayer/composer Achim Goettert is 20 years on stage with powerful latin grooves: Salsa, samba, tango, reggae was the colourful music mix for ears and legs. Now the group changed to hot ska and reggae-rhythms and shows a new line-up featuring singer POPPA DOUBLE YOU (Ex-Toxic Avenger Band / Gustavs / Johann Raumschiff und die Triebwerke). New also: fastfinger violin player Johannes Ammon, guitar icon Roli Müller – Jimi Hendrix specialist, and dancing Andrea Goettert playing the big baritone horn. The proved rhythm section features Stefan Holweg (keys), the first hour giant Harry Weigel (bass) and drummer Charles Blackledge (Argile). Ska Ska Ska… a wild mix of jazzhits (Monk, Brubeck, Parker) - specially arranged, songs of the New York Ska-Jazz Ensemble, ska-veterans Skatalites and original compositions. the musicians
	achim goettert saxophone born 1951 in Dessau. Lives in the Nuremberg area, is composer as well as improvising musician and is chiefly concerned with multi-media projects. Since the end of the seventies he has been working with his own jazz groups, appears regularly in different line-ups from duo to the large ensemble "The Improvisers Pool". Musicians such as Kevin Coyne, Conrad Bauer, John Tchicai, Uwe Kropinski, Günter Sommer, Hans Kennel and Kamalesh Maitra, writers and actors such as Oliver Karbus, dancers the likes of Robert Wechsler and Jutta Czurda, visual and performance artists such as Grace Yoon and Duke Meyer have all guested in Achim Goettert's projects. He has written compositions - jazz as well as contemporary music - for his own groups, for film, theatre and radio. Achim Goettert is author of music educational works and, apart from his workshop teaching activities, as guest lecturer at the "Akademie der Bildenden Künste" (Academy of Fine Arts) in Nuremberg, organises concerts and festivals (from 1992 until 2003 the 'Gostenhofer Jazztage' in Nuremberg). 1988 award of the city of Nuremberg.
	harald weigel e-bass born 1957 in Marktredwitz. Degree of the Meistersinger-Conservatory Nürnberg. Concerts with Nürnberger and Hofer Sinfoniker. Freelancing jazz- and pop musician. 1983 own LP with Werner Steinhauser, and another with the FREDDIE FREELOADER GROUP (first recording of Wolfgang Haffner). Member of PAPA CALIENTE from the very beginning. In the 90es he toured with the rhythm rolls (featuring Jose Cortijo, Bill Molenhof, studio recording at Crakow, Poland). Teaches at the Musicschool of the Hofer Synfoniker and at the jazzworkshops Fürth.

	nn baritone sax, flute
	roli mueller guitar studied rock+jazzguitar at the Meistersinger Conservatory of Nuremberg. His specialty is the music of Jimi Hendrix, that he is performing with his own group live and on cd. He is touring with John Davis, Franz Hajak and many other singers. A guitarplayer with a large variety of styles: from country and fingerpicking to heavy rockriffs as well as funky lines.

	POPPA DOUBLE U voc alias Wolfgang Reyscher 20 years ago a star led Wolfgang Reyscher from Krefeld to Nuremberg. Meanwhile he is part of the frankonian music history: He joined among others Duke Meyer, Gustaffs Company as well as Johan Raumschiff and the Toxic Avenger Band. He is now performing with his own popband REY VULCANO. link
